ARIZONA Landscape Painting Workshop

$375.00

November 8-9, 2024

Have you always wanted to learn how to paint a landscape? There’s no better way than to learn from Mother Nature herself, although it takes training and practice to know what to look for and how to interpret a picturesque landscape into, well, a picture.

I’ll teach you how to do just that! Whether you’re new to landscape painting or need a fresh perspective, or just want the thrilling and meditative experience of painting plein air, this is the workshop for you!

The Friday Evening Class will be an indoor crash course of composition and how to interpret light and shadow. On Saturday morning, we’ll meet at the designated painting location and paint for 3 hours. It’s up to you if you want to spend the entire time on one painting, or paint several different views and angles within the time. Afterward, we’ll meet together for lunch, discuss what we learned, and receive critique. After a rest, in the evening, we’ll meet at the second location for a final 3 hour session into the golden hour.

Friday Evening Location: TBA

Saturday Morning Location: Downtown Gilbert

Saturday Evening Location: Lost Dutchman State Park
